Delight Human Services LLC inspires to be a leading In-Home and Community Service organization dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need within our community. Home and Community Habilitation

Services to help people gain, maintain, and improve skills that allow them to live and participate in their local community.


Examples of habilitation include supporting someone to participate in a church activity, learning to cook safely, or learning to use public transportation independently.

In Home & Community Supports

We provide compassionate support to individuals in their homes and communities. Our services assist with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication management to help you stay healthy. 


Our mission is to empower you with skills that enhance your daily life, allowing you to live authentically. We tailor our guidance to meet your unique preferences and needs, ensuring each experience is meaningful and fulfilling.


Personal Care Assistance**: Support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management.  


Social Integration**: Encouraging participation in community activities, fostering social skills, and promoting engagement with peers.  


Emotional Support**: Providing counseling and mental health resources to help residents manage emotional and psychological challenges.  


Skill Development**: Implementing programs that promote life skills, including cooking, budgeting, and job readiness, to enhance independence.  


Collaboration with Families**: Involving family members in care plans to ensure a holistic approach, addressing both individual and collective needs.  


Individualized Care Plans**: Developing tailored support plans that meet the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each resident.  


Crisis Intervention Services**: Establishing protocols for managing emergencies and ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.


We provide In-Home and Community Support (IHCS) services for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities or autism. Our services help individuals learn and maintain important skills through direct support from a Partner in their home and community, tailored to their goals and preferences.

In-Home and Community Support can look different for each person. However, it generally includes:

Individualized Support:

Our developmental disabilities (IHCS) services are designed to meet each individual's unique needs. Through person-centered planning, we collaborate with individuals to create personalized and adaptable plans that reflect their goals. This partnership allows for ongoing evaluation to support their growth and well-being. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential. 

Companionship and Relationship Building

  • At the heart of      our service is the belief that a warm and supportive relationship is      essential for personal growth and development. Individuals play an active      role in choosing their Support Partners through a comprehensive matching      and interviewing process designed to ensure compatibility. Each Support      Partner is carefully mentored to understand and address the unique needs,      aspirations, and goals of the person they are assisting.
  • Once a      supportive partnership is established, these dedicated Support Partners      can help individuals in several meaningful ways, including:


Exploring Interests and Hobbies**: Support Partners assist individuals in discovering new passions, whether it's engaging in arts and crafts, joining sports teams, or participating in community events that reflect their interests.

  • Meeting New People**: They facilitate      opportunities for individuals to connect with others, helping them to      expand their social circles through organized activities, workshops, or      casual outings, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Forming and      Sustaining Friendships**: Support Partners guide individuals in developing      and nurturing friendships, offering advice on effective communication and      social skills to build lasting connections with peers. 
  • Through this      trusted partnership, individuals gain the confidence and support necessary      to thrive socially and personally.

 

Behavioral Support

This service is available for individuals age 21 and older and includes comprehensive assessment, the development of and revisions to a behavioral support plan that includes strategies to support the individual based upon assessment, and the provision of interventions and training to individuals, staff and caregivers. There are two levels of service that reflect the differing levels of provider qualifications and the needs of the individual.


Behavior support services for adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) are essential in promoting positive behavior, enhancing quality of life, and facilitating greater independence. These services typically include a range of strategies and interventions aimed at addressing challenging behaviors while encouraging personal growth and development. Key elements of effective behavior support services include:  


Behavior Assessment**: Conducting thorough assessments to identify the specific behaviors of concern, triggers, and the underlying causes of these behaviors. This may involve observations, interviews, and data collection.  

Individualized Support Plans**: Creating personalized support plans that outline specific interventions and strategies tailored to the individual’s needs, preferences, and goals. These plans often include positive behavior support techniques aimed at teaching new skills.  


Positive Reinforcement**: Implementing strategies that reward desired behaviors as a way to encourage their repetition. Positive reinforcement can help increase motivation and foster a more supportive environment.  


Crisis Intervention Strategies**: Establishing clear protocols for managing crises when they arise. This includes de-escalation techniques and safety measures to protect both the individual and those around them.  


Skill Development**: Focusing on teaching alternative, functional skills that can replace challenging behaviors. This may include communication skills, social skills, and coping strategies.

Our Community Participation Support (CPS) assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism in creating a meaningful schedule based on their aspirations. CPS focuses on building careers, developing social skills, and promoting independence, all delivered 100% in the community. Key aspects include enhancing social inclusion, accessing community resources, and participating in meaningful activities.  


Individualized Support Plans**: Developing tailored plans that cater to the unique interests, preferences, and needs of each individual. This ensures that participation is meaningful and aligns with personal goals.  


Social Skills Training**: Providing training and practice opportunities to enhance interpersonal skills, improve communication, and foster positive interactions with peers and community members.  


Access to Community Resources**: Assisting individuals in identifying and accessing community organizations, recreational programs, and resources that align with their interests and goals, such as sports teams, arts programs, or volunteer opportunities.  


Transportation Assistance**: Offering support with transportation arrangements to facilitate access to various community activities and events, ensuring individuals can engage fully in their chosen participation opportunities.  


Group Activities**: Organizing group outings and activities that encourage socialization, teamwork, and the development of friendships, thereby reducing isolation and promoting a sense of belonging.

Building connections within one’s neighborhood fosters belonging and enhances quality of life. We help individuals engage in enriching activities that create a strong sense of purpose, such as:


Social Activities**: Join local clubs, attend community events, or participate in group outings that encourage interaction and friendship among neighbors.


Recreational Activities**: Explore local parks, join sports teams, or take part in fitness classes that promote physical health while connecting with others who share similar interests.


Volunteer Opportunities**: Get involved in local charities or community service projects, allowing individuals to give back to their community while forming meaningful relationships with fellow volunteers.

We offer personalized support for various activities of daily living, tailored to the individual's needs and preferences. This assistance may encompass:

Household Chores and Tasks:** We help with a range of responsibilities around the home, including thorough cleaning of different rooms, meal preparation that accommodates dietary preferences, and managing laundry, such as washing, drying, and folding clothes. We can also assist with grocery shopping and organizing household items to maintain a tidy living space.


Personal Care Support:** Our team provides guidance and assistance for self-care activities based on what the individual prefers. This can include help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management, ensuring the person feels comfortable and supported in maintaining their personal hygiene and health.
